 Rumors have been swirling for several months about a prequel or spin-off from the hit medical series Hospital Playlist. After much speculation, what appears to be fact is that there is a new medical drama in the works from the creators of Hospital Playlist. It's not a prequel or direct spin-off from Hospital Playlist, but apparently will take place at the Jongro branch office of in the same fictional hospital (Yulje Medical Center) with a completely different cast. It has been tentatively titled A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday ( 언젠가는 슬기로울 전공의생활). So far, Go Yoon Jung ( Alchemy of Souls), Shin Shi Ah, and Kang Yoo Suk ( Black Knight) have been confirmed as cast members. No word on whether any of the Hospital Playlist cast will make cameo appearances, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.  A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday is expected to air sometime in the first half of 2024. |

It wouldn't surprise me either if the cast makes cameo appearances. In Hospital playlist there so many actors from The Reply series and Prison Playbook that ended up having a Cameo in that series.  |

Originally slated to premiere in May, tvN has decided to postpone airing Resident Playbook until later this year. Apparently, concerns arose following the recent wave of mass resignations among real-life medical residents in Korea, causing significant staffing shortages in major hospitals. Given that the drama centers around medical residents, these developments prompted deliberation over the show's timing and how domestic audiences might react to it. |

With tvN's latest scheduling update, it's looking like the broadcast of this one will be pushed into 2025.

Sad it is being pushed back I was looking forward to it, but then maybe I will have less on my want to watch when it comes out LOL!
