I see. They play cool music from the 80's. xD

The use of synth in most 80s music usually turns me off - I wonder why I didn't mind this time.

Kat and Jill on the old board before it closed made me relive the sentimentality of the OST from Spring Waltz, so while I am waiting for new episodes of Hyde, Jekyll, and I I have been making the rounds on YouTube trying to find as many pretty songs from the soundtrack as I can find. This one is one of the prettiest ones. I think it's Yiruma.

What an earworm for me, and what an appropriate title for this song - it just won't stop...

Now I've got this new song stuck in my head. The music video makes it seem like you're watching a horror movie. xD

I ordered the CD for The Prime Minister and I but it will probably be awhile before it gets to me from Korea.
So I've been finding what I can on YouTube for it; my favorite piece is the piano waltz that they played for sad scenes or contemplative scenes.
Someone also sounded it out for their piano and their cover version is also very lovely. The melody is so haunting. So glad they left it simple piano, and no orchestra versions.

In the mail waiting for me when I got home was the THIRD release of a soundtrack for Spring Waltz, my fourth favorite K-drama. There were two other releases I bought previously but they all had different tracks on them. This release is a double CD release, 1 CD has all the classic music in the soundtrack and the 2nd CD has mostly piano tunes composed for the soundtrack, many by Yiruma. Yiruma himself is playing 3/4s of the song titles on this CD, so I have spent the last few hours relaxing and melting to all these incredibly beautiful pieces composed for this beloved K-drama.
I thought I'd share the title piano piece played by Yiruma, of course simply called Spring Waltz. He has a special touch on the piano random pianists just don't have. You can tell when he is playing a piece, that is one reason he's become so world famous.
So here it is! Isn't it gorgeous!?? Yiruma, you rock, man!
YIRUMA playing SPRING WALTZ TITLE PIECE
Wow, his wife looks so much like Choi Ji Woo of Winter Sonata fame.

Have any of you heard of the progressive rock band Focus?—one of my favorites from the '70s. They were a Dutch band, primarily instrumental, and never that well known in the U.S., I don't believe.
This is Sylvia from the Focus III album—always loved the lyrical electric guitar style in this one:

As a Prog Rock lover, I love Focus. Yeah, they're not too well known in the US. Their only claim to fame is their rather unique attempt to incorporate yodeling into Rock music.
