Jill – I saw the Prime Minister & I and I liked it too except for that lame ending (in my humble opinion of course)… it was a WTH ending for me. It made me downgrade that drama from the top 10 to somewhere in the middle to last.

You like all those smooch kisses at the end. LOL.
I loved it because I'd much rather see love in the characters' eyes as they gaze at one another, but a smooch kiss (when they have their eyes closed) you can't see all that. I think peoples' souls are in their eyes.
I had only seen Yoona in Love Rain so it was a revelation to me how funny she was. I think they were trying to make her like an Audrey Hepburn - Roman Holiday type person. Just adorable.
Edit:
I just finished my review for My Girl (2005) a classic Hong Sisters' romantic comedy show. If you need to laugh I can think of few shows that will deliver like this one does.

Not gonna lie . . . I love to see the drama leads kiss at the end of the drama or I'll even take hugs just some type of demonstration of their affection. I like happy endings and I like endings wrapped up nicely with a bow at the end. That's just what I like to see. I have seen a few dramas where the ending was a bit open ended and didn't mind because I loved, loved the drama, e.g., Nine: Nine Time Travels...

With my Hulu Plus subscription expiring in 9 days, I thought I would find something short to watch in that time. I came across a 16 episode MBC historical from 2010 called The Reputable Family. I'd never heard of it, so my expectations are pretty low for this one, but it has been fairly entertaining so far. It is the story of the Choi family of Gyeongju, who have prospered for nearly 300 years, all while returning much their wealth back to society in times of need as an act of noblesse oblige. It's pretty clearly a morality tale. I've already recognized a few fine character actors from other shows in it, such as Kim Young Chul (Princess' Man) and Lee Hee Do (Horse Doctor, Dong Yi, Yi San, etc...).

Ah, a 16 episode! Dem's wat eye lieke, my leege!
My liege, and madam, to expostulate What majesty should be, what duty is, What day is day, night night, and time is time, Were nothing but to waste night, day, and time; Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit, And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief. Hamlet Act 2, scene 2, 86–92

I just finished watching Sweden Laundry. I really enjoyed about the first ten episodes, the leads were adorable and it suited my need for a light romantic comedy. The storyline fell apart in the last few episodes and centered around the most annoying secondary characters with very few redeeming qualities. Plus the main couple never saw any resolution. Like so many Kdramas the ending sort of sucked. I'm not sure if it's a cultural difference in story telling or if the writers just can't maintain plot over 16-22 episodes and fall apart about ten or so in.

I finished Sweden Laundry too and I wrote a review on it, but I find it so funny how I'm the only viewer who was actually content with the last episode. xD

Why don't they ever listen to Polonius?
Really, some of the best K-dramas that brought me the most powerful emotions of all were the short dramas 10 episodes or less. Tree of Heaven, Mimi, Kang Goo's Story, Friends, Love In Memory, Perhaps Love, Mermaid Story, Twenty Years Old.

Currently watching: Fool's Love Blood Unkind Women I didn't expect to but I'm loving Fool's Love. What do you think of Unkind Women so far? I haven't started that one yet.

Does Unkind Woman revolve around kendo? Because when I see pictures of the drama, it shows the actors dressed up in kendo suits, ready to fight.

I finally finished You're All Surrounded. Wish I could be enthusiastic over it but I struggled to stay awake through every episode. I think it's simply because I've NEVER been a cops and robbers type of show lover. Going back decades I haven't liked them. I think this show and others of that ilk are geared more toward men. I thought the acting was good but nothing exceptional. It will probably go down near the bottom of my list. It makes my 131st K-drama finished. (When I cite the numbers it's NOT because I'm boasting, but rather it's simply for me, to help me keep track of all of them!).
I started Cunning Single Lady (2014) on Netflix, episode 1. It's okay. I immediately recognized the lead actor as the second male lead from Good Doctor (2013) with Joo Won. The girl playing the best friend was in the show I just finished recently which I adored, My Girl (2005) and also the second female lead in Arang And The Magistrate (2012). I feel slightly uncomfy looking at Min Jung these days, knowing what hell she is going through with that roaming husband of hers, Byung Hun Lee.

I just finished watching My Girl and I liked it - the ending was a bit rushed in my opinion but I liked it nonetheless. And the main guy, Lee Dong Wook - wow ...i'm in love so cute and handsome. I saw Cunning Single Lady recently and I really liked it but I also had Lee Min Jung recent troubles in the back of mind . . and it also made me feel bad for her.

On Dramafever Cunning Single Lady is called Sly and Single Again. It's annoying when they change the titles from system to system, like when Faith was on Netflix you couldn't find it if you put Faith in the search engine. It wouldn't come up. You had to put The Great Doctor in, and how many people would have known to do that when it was called Faith on DF? Duh-uh. I'm going to try and finish up the show before Thursday night because Friday I won't be able to watch NUTTIN for awhile.
Dong Wook Lee has been a heartthrob of mine for years. His best performance is in Scent Of A Woman (2011) with Kim Sun Ah. They were dynamite together. It's an Essential Watch, in my opinion, for the die-hard K-drama fan. Too bad it was removed from Netflix last year. It was up there for several years and I would watch and re-watch it on there (esp. episode 8!). I have a DVD set as a backup, and it's on DF, but still that Netflix print was PERFECT.
