MEDIA WATCH CNN alone has produced nearly 1,200 articles about Coronavirus and two-thirds of the stories on Reuters’ newswire were about the virus. The news media has always loved stories like these - they are good for ratings, but I'm afraid that CNN and others are making a concerted effort to over-hype this story. They are apparently convinced that they can somehow blame Trump for the outbreak and hurt his chances of reelection; they're already calling it "Trump's Katrina". It's really pretty sad that some so-called new organizations are so biased and partisan that they would actually wish a catastrophe on the country just to further their political interests.

I know the music shows are not letting the public in, so the acts are performing to no one. They showed Gfriend on You Hee Yeol's Sketchbook and he went and sat in the audience since he was the only one there, Bts just had a comeback stage and the only audience was the staff members. Bts and Gfriend I think will be okay since they have big fanbase, but a lot of these smaller groups that is how they get known, is by getting on the shows and performing. I am waiting to see what happens in the next month will the US ban S.Korean's from entering the country.
On one hand I do believe the media is over hyping this but on the other hand if they didn't talk about it and something happens everyone will complain why weren't they informed. I am really hoping that someone comes up with something soon to stop it from spreading and no one else dies.

I don't generally subscribe to wild conspiracy theories. In my view, the principle of 'Occam's Razor' usually applies (ie. the simplest explanation is usually correct). And I certainly wouldn't believe anything the Chinese government puts forth - they are proven liars on countless occasions. Authoritarians always try to scapegoat others for their own failings. No, I believe COVID-19 originated in Wuhan. Whether it was a natural outbreak or the result of an accidental leak from a biolab in Wuhan, I'm not sure we will ever really know. The Chinese would never fess up to anyway. I do find it interesting that China's top bio research lab just happens to be in Wuhan and one of the first scientists to go public about the situation worked there - and he is now dead. Hmmm.

They say our local Giant was also out of toilet paper and then others started listing all of the other stores it is out of. There have now been confirmed cases in towns next to mine. One was a doctor that had seen 12 patients.
